Other people, with their differences, can also be right

Yesterday I was blogging about the 3 programmes offered by the IB - the PYP, the MYP and the IB. The IB states:
These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.

Today I saw this TED talk on a tweet from Rob Newberry (@robinthailand). This short video sums up what this post is about. Sometimes there is no right answer or right way to do things, we have to accept and appreciate our differences for true international understanding.

  1. I think that this is a hard concept for people to grasp...that there is no right answer or way to do things. We are raised in a society where we tend to believe that the way we do things is the right way...so everyone else must be wrong. I am glad to see that schools are addressing this and working to help students view the world from many different perspectives. It can be a difficult thing to do!
